In today’s Sunday school lesson, we take a deeper look into the worthiness of the Lamb. Our key scripture, Revelation 5:1-14, highlights Christ, the "slaughtered lamb," who was sacrificed for the sins of the world. People often make sacrifices for those they love, but Christ’s sacrifice stands as the ultimate act of love and is lifted to the throne of God, worthy of eternal praise. As the key verse reminds us, "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you ransomed for God saints from every tribe and language and people and nation" (Revelation 5:9, NRSV).
